He claims to have spoken nothing but truth, yet lost several friends over it for the very reason he did not speak the truth. His callous remark comparing me to [i]Hitler of the Doll World[/i] insults the entire community by calling them all Nazis. In the ODC post he made bashing me he indicates that the photo he objected to was not removed becasue of me, yet there was a 12 to 5 staff vote against removal of the photo - a photo that went on to win the photo contest. DL's favorite line, which seems to be in every PM to me, ... "It ALWAYS comes around to bite those in the ass who have done me wrong!!!!!!", just further shows his self centered nature in everything centering around him. What he means is HE always comes around to bite those in the ass that might hold him accountable for his actions. He is incapable of a 'frontal' assault. A spoiled and malicious child who didn't get their own way joins the ranks of a few other spoiled and malicious children that also didn't get their own way. Maturity is just a word to DL and his new found friends ;) As to his remark that I am not the same person he met in LA, I would suggest I am unchanged but that I am treating HIM differently becasue he has shown his true malicious and self centered nature. As to Camp? I have posted only provable truths about a man who has libeled and attacked me and undermined my efforts in the community. One mans journey BY: By: CJ Ellington           When Dave Hockey or Midiman as he is known in the doll community, set out to do a documentary about love dolls, he not only got his feet wet but he dove in head first.      In 2008 Dave set out on a three year journey to produce a fair and balanced documentary on the love doll community. He has been a staple in the love doll community ever sense.      Dave is co-owner of the community's largest forum for love doll owners "The Doll Forum" www.dollforum.com. He also is co-owner of a monthly eZine, "Coverdoll".           Dave's interest in dolls started when he discovered them by accident. He was online searching for a teddy bear site when he came across whats called Teddy Babes.           Teddy Babes are unlike teddy bears in the fact that they have human faces and female boobs. According to the Teddy Babe website, they advertise them as being for" guys too old to play with teddy bears".      Dave also is the Canadian distributor for Eighth Wonder; the company who manufactures the Teddy Babes.           Thanks to his research for his documentary, Dave acquired Bianca. Bianca is the Real Doll used in the main stream movie "Lars and the Real Girl".      He takes Bianca everywhere. She has traveled with him from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast, meeting doll owners across the US and Canada. He even takes her to the UK to meet UK doll owners.      According to Dave, he has grown attached to Bianca. “I believe dolls and stuffed toys that portray living beings and creatures do trigger a psychological response in most of us that you don't get from other types of objects.”           The dolls and the making of the documentary were not cheap. With travel, insurance, and other expenses, Dave spent about $42,000 in the making of his documentary.           He spent his own money doing this. Why you may wonder? Well for Dave, he wanted to produce a documentary that was not based on sensationalism, but on good journalism. He wanted to document  the doll community as it realy was.      There are other documentaries out there that portray doll owners as guys lonely and desperate for sex. According to Dave, all but one of the 20 doll owners interviewed, have had sex in one form or another with their doll, but for 50% of love doll owners, Sex is not the main reason for owning the doll.           Dave does have a world wide distribution contract for his documentary "All Dolled Up". However, some broadcasters have requested a version that was not as light hearted. Dave says he's happy to accommodate with a second version to give broadcasters a choice and that the changes will  not take away from the integrity of the documentary      The doll community is unlike any other community. Doll owners come from all walks of life. All different lifestyles are represented in the doll community.      Like every community there is conflict and competition between forums. Being a big part of the community, Dave/Midiman, is right in the center of it, not that he wants to be.           He has had to learn to deal with discrimination and personal attacks against him and the forum...something he had never encountered until he started this journey into the doll world.           As someone who got a private viewing of the documentary while Dave was in LA a few months ago, I can honestly say that his documentary is the fairest most accurate doll documentary to date.      "All Dolled Up" is destined to be a success and some have hailed it as the definitive documentary on love dolls and their owners, replacing Guys and Dolls. Hopefully one day in the near future we will get to see his documentary the way he hoped...on TV.  Dave has already begun filming for his next doll documentary.           All in all, Dave's involvement in the love doll community has been extensive. His love for his dolls and his community is evident to everyone he meets. So many great reactions. Many  curiosity. When ever Dave is out with a doll, he is more then happy to tell you all about it.      He has become a true ambassador for the doll community, as he travels the world with his silicone movie star, Bianca and his harem of dolls. What we have going on TDF is the better aproach. Manufactuers intermengal with the consumers and get along fine most of the time. Every once in a while a disgruntaled buyer will sound off. Thats good though. People need to see all sides of a manufacturer from a consumers point of view. A consumer based forum sould never disclude the lagitament manufactuers as long as they follow that forums rules. Its when they don't follow the rules and bash other manufactuers that they get in trouble. As in the case of Sinthetics at tdf. However, I do think consumers need to see that so they can say "hey I don't want to be assoiated with that". I have had many people tell me Sinthetics dolls look the best. Just their attitude and business practices kills them. We as doll owners sould be able to interact with the doll companies. Provided the company is ethical. I also think when a company is not ethical, they sould be exposed. Wich gives me an idea for an artical. Anyway ok more then a nikels worth lol. Now he locks them and leaves them there to do their damage. Nothing unexpected from a man that wears two faces, especially when he's sitting on one of them. He criticized midiman for destroying history yet he is the one that deleted his stories, trashed his threads and removed his gallery from TDF destroying over a thousand posts...mostly his own. However, he continues to blame midiman for everything wrong in his life. Methinks his most recent animosity is owing to TDF thriving better than ever, as reflected in his latest bash midiman thread where he stated his forum consisted of a smaller more intelligent group of people than TDF. Midiman, after receiving several insulting and accusatory questions from Euchre in a TDF post, put up a humorous site - ForumOfFools.com in Euchre's honor. Euchre, (as put by another TDF member), poked big sister with a stick. Big sister slapped him back. Then Euchre ran home to MommyAllen saying that he had been called a 'Fool'; by big bad midiman. "Poor 'wittle' Euchre", said MommyAllen, "[b]Sticks and stones can break your bones but names can really hurt you.[/b]". A man has to have pretty low self esteem to react like Euchre did. Perhaps his therapist should prescribe he not hang out on the Internet, and instead watch reruns of Shirley Temple movies. Then again, perhaps Midiman had become desensitized by all the previous nasty attacks and names he'd been called by ODC, SA Forums and Encyclopedia Dramatica and did not realize what a terrible thing he'd done in calling Euchre a fool. IN any case, ODC, under Keithallen's reign, likes to swat flies with jack hammers and used it as an excuse to fire up the jackhammers in another campaign of midiman and TDF bashing. Even though the offending "ForumOfFools" website had been removed within 24 hours of Euchre's complaining, as well as the thread at TDF that "some ODC only folk believed was attacking Davecat", KeithAllen has elected to leave the bashing threads up at ODC, just like old times. It is most unfortunate that Campdaan worked so hard to bring peace between the forums only to have KeithAllen and Euchre twist a legitimate discussion about community image into an attack on Davecat, to the point that even he thought he was being attacked. Of course nothing like the attacks he receives from people commenting on his interviews. The big question when Campdaan returns is, "Will he put KeithAllen back in his playpen and straighten out the mess he's made and the embarrassment he has brought to ODC, or has KeithAllen demote Campdaan to lap dog and turn ODC back into a dedicated bash midiman forum? Campdaan, we are not the ones that broke the peace. It was a disagreement at most between Euchre, Keithallen and Midiman with Davecat caught in between. There were no threads at TDF bashing ODC or Keithallen, nor how it is run. However, KeithAllen saw fit to turn ODC back into a battle group from which they would lob grenades and missiles over the TDF walls Most unfortunate ODC is owned and run by a dictator filled with self importance and a personal agenda to fill Bill's shoes. Unfortunately even Bill couldn't fill Bill's shoes anymore. It took a whole team of people to take TDF to the next level. The members and visitors of TDF speak for themselves. They can see through the ODC smear tactics. They no longer will take, "Trust me, I know." as evidence to back their libelous accusations.  TDF has grown and blossomed into a richer, happier community because the members now feel part of it rather than unwelcome guests. In KeithAllen's own words, ODC was a safe haven and peaceful place for doll folk to be. He even stated that the biggest reason people came to ODC was because midiman was not there. Well it sure looks like midiman is there by the posts they make and it doesn't look very peaceful or friendly either. I always said KeithAllen was one of the best story tellers I've met. Also his posts will not be edited or deleted at TDF UNLESS he is in violation of the rules. For example his ODC post has violations because - just like in other walks of life - people cannot make unsupported and unfounded malicious and damaging statements to other people's reputations. It is called libel and slander.  ODC's response is to lock the libelous thread but then leave it to continue to smear the target, thus making themselves party to the offense. odc061210 fails to provide any supporting proof or example of his accusations. The "Trust me I know.", approach is just not acceptable. As a matter of fact he is yet another ODC member obsessed with the ridiculous thought that midiman is able to dominate 30 TDF staff members, a TDF site manager and two TDF partners in prejudicing the TDF website against specific manufacturers and members, without causing a mass exodus or outcry from staff memebrs. TDF gives all doll manufacturers equal opportunity and consideration. Furthermore TDF is primarily a consumer oriented website and has maintained that status. The reason some manufacturers may seem poorly represented at TDF is not the fault of TDF but of the manufacturers and doll owners of that product that elect NOT to post at TDF. It is less a question of editing and more a question of representation. As to lining our pockets and coercing manufacturers? This is just mud slinging by a disgruntled and frustrated former TDF member who spoke against allowing manufacturer advertising to address the serious shortfall in covering TDF expenses. I point out that before we took ownership of TDF, that LD had made a $500 donation and a following incident resulted in which managers biased themselves in allowing LD to post a thread that slung suspicion at Abyss. This was clearly against the rules and caused Abyss to pull support from TDF and with good reaaon. When Bill returned from his vacation he removed the offending post. Keithallen, CJD, Mahtek, Campdaan and Euchre were all on staff at TDF at the time. Of all the accusations fired at myself and the others who have worked hard to turn TDF around both financially and socially, it more often turns out that the accusers not the accused have been working overtime to make their predictions happen They accused us of destroying TDF history when we upgraded the forum, yet THEY are the ones who deleted their galleries and trashed their posts. odc061210 is one of them. That is one of the most important functions dollforum USED TO provide. Midi has destroyed that by favoritism and lies. He edits or deletes posts he doesn't like (same here BTW), favors the manufacturers who line his pockets, and silences voices of dissent by removing their userids. By his control of the prime doll hobbyists' forum he coerces manufacturers. Because of his editting, the "truth" as it appears at dollforum is his opinion, colored by, at the very least, his desire to milk money out of the web site. Thus he has destroyed the open and truthful exchange of buying experiences that I believe was so important to give buyers enough information to know the risks.
